Gino Gebelin  -  The Evening Tree

BIOGRAPHY

THE MUSIC & THE MAKER:
Gino is a singer/songwriter residing in rural Southeast Kansas. His music radiates with an organic complexity. Being a solo musician has compelled him to find creative methods of playing live - the goal being to sound more like a band rather than just a solo performer. He uses several different tunings to pull thicker sounds from his guitar. He also utilizes Hardwire loop pedals on the fly to manually overlay seamless guitar solos, backup vocals, violin, drum effects, and slide guitar. Recently he has added a foot drum to the equation.

LOOKING BACK:
It wasn’t until he turned 30 that he began to take his songs on the road. In 2010 he released his debut album “Calico” and has enjoyed a busy schedule promoting it. Everything on the album was developed by Gino from the artwork, mixing, and mastering to the multiple instruments featured on the album. It was during the making of Calico where he taught himself to play the cello and violin. The album was produced at Hellman Productions in Los Angeles.

LOOKING FORWARD:
Gino is currently working on his second release “The Evening Tree”. The 13 song album branches outward from the Calico sound, and takes on a more unvarnished image. Some songs on the album explore controversial topics in unflinching candor while others continue the study of the human condition and quantum philosophy.
